Family Christmas Photos

I don't know about you, but I am already in the holiday spirit! I think it must because all the holiday fabric and yarn are on sale at the craft store so my mind is a flurry with holiday project ideas..... another reason is because I am trying to decide how to dress everyone for our Christmas photo this year. Are you having that same problem?! Well, here's a few Yellow Trunk Homemade ideas up for grabs (and of course up for sale!). Items aren't at the shop yet... but if you see something you like let me know!

Orders have been booming. Thanks again to all my devoted customers new and old! Here are the most recent sports teams out of the trunk:

Chicago Bears (my personal favorite!)

.... and the Dallas Cowboys (eh, they're alright... though I must admit the hat is super cute!)

Don't forget to check out my Facebook page for special discounts/offers/giveaways not always listed on my blog. We are working on getting to 100 FB fans for our next giveaway!

Green and Gold

I have to preface this post by saying I AM A BEARS FAN.... However, I am also a business woman, and since lately Wisconsin sports have been paying my bills, I don't mind modeling the items! I had a family of women that wanted matching caps, so here's what is fresh out of the trunk.....

Want to sport your favorite teams colors?! I love custom orders, send me a message and I'll be happy to oblige.... or check out what's already listed at my shop to see if I have what you're looking for!

Flip Flops are ALWAYS in Style!

Okay, so I have been remiss at blogging, but fear not I have been a working/crafting maniac! Last week I started my 4th (yes 4TH!) job so life at our house has been crazy. I am so blessed that God has provided many outlets for us to earn some extra money AND kept my Yellow Trunk business orders flowing despite my lack of postings and time invested.

I made these cuties earlier this summer but never had a chance to post. Is it just me or are there any other die hard flip flop wearers out there? Seriously, I wear flip flops until there is snow on the ground (and even then if the sidewalks are cleared). I love the look of these crocheted flip flops because they will match perfectly with the fall sweaters that are aching to escape my closet. Hope you love them as much as I do.

There are assorted styles, colors, sizes available. Hoping to list them at the shop soon! Prices are below.
Adult Sizes: $17
Child Sizes: $15

Ruffle Dress

My sister-in-law got married this past weekend..... and of course I decided to make sure all of the nieces were made cute little matching dresses. Using my new favorite ruffle fabric, I made the cutest little ruffle dresses..... the best part was that they looked complicated but were so easy to make they only took about 30 minutes each! Hopefully I'll be able to find a pic of all 3 girls together (they are all 4 and under so getting them all to sit still is quite a chore!)

BIG Flower Flip Flops

I'm pretty sure that flip flops are my favorite footwear of all time.... seriously, as a Midwesterner I wear flip flops until there is snow on the ground, and as soon as it melts (even if the temps are still sub-0) they go right back on. So, in honor of my favorite shoes, I made some hand sewn flowers, and with the help of an awl to punch holes in the plastic straps, sewed the flowers directly onto the shoe.... That's right, all hand crafted/ hand sewn and no hot glue! These are just a couple previews... the rest will be up in the shop within the week!

Have a special occasion you need a comfy yet classy pair of shoes for? Looking for the perfect bride or bridesmaid shoe? These are available in an assortment of sizes, colors, and flowers, and all for the very reasonable price of $10.50. Contact me for more information!

Ruffle Scarves

I have definitely been absent from blogging and facebooking lately (sorry!).... but I have a very good reason! Last weekend I hosted a table at an Arts & Crafts Fair in Rockford, IL..... Much of my time and energy this past month was devoted to getting items made and ready to sell (not to mention maintaining my other full time job as wife and mother extraordinaire!). Now that it's over, I am VERY excited to share with you a few new creations, the first being my new favorite: RUFFLE SCARVES!

A scarf is an easy way to dress up, add color, or give flair to any outfit. What's unique about these scarves is the ruffles which add a bit of eye catching detail! I also love that they are made from a cotton/nylon material so they are super lightweight which makes them a perfect accessory for summer. For $12 each, they are a steal! I will be listing them at the shop shortly... stay tuned!
