Feeling Wild!

I have been a bit remiss at posting lately.... I admit the beautiful weather here in the midwest has made me want to spend more time outdoors than at my sewing machine! Just finished up this custom order, and am thinking of adding a pair to my etsy shop too.These cuties are for a 9 month old. I have some extra scraps so I am hoping to also make a matching headband for the customer.... these shoes call for accessories :)

These Boots Were MADE for Walkin....

Remember, the post where I asked if it would be acceptable for me to wear an adult pair of furry boots?! Well, turns out some one thinks it is since they ordered a pair, and honestly I loved how they turned out so much that it was hard to pack them up in a box and ship them away (tear). Guess I'll have to find time to make myself a pair of my very own! In addition to the adult pair of booties I had a few orders for baby boots, the purchaser of these particular cuties wanted a little bling (YES)..... I just love sparkley buttons!!!!!

Since these were custom orders, they aren't listed for sale at the shop, but I'd be happy to make you a pair! Your wish is my command (for a small fee of course!)

Boots with the Furrrrrr.....

Remember when I said I bought lots of new crochet shoes patterns from one of my new favorite Etsy shops? Well, I finished another pair! These particular cuties are called Furylicious Booties (if you're interested on purchasing a pattern of your own, check out the link!). I made these as a custom order for a baby size 3-6 months. Question: Do you think these would be tacky on an adult because I am sorely tempted to make a pair for myself!

I don't have current plans to list any at the shop, but custom orders are always welcome!

Feeling Hoppy!

I have a customer who has an eye for all things cute! She has a dedicated pinterest board with my name on it for items she wants me to make (how cool is that?!). One of the items I am currently working on for her are a pair of 3 to 6 month furrylicious crocheted boots, but her pin lead me to this AWESOME etsy shop called Two Girls Patterns. Not only did I purchase the furrylicious boot pattern, but I also purchased 5 other ones... I just couldn't help myself their patterns are too cute and so reasonably priced!

Mind you, I will have to post the pic of the boots at a later date, but in the meantime I am getting into the Easter spirit. Here was my first practice pair at making these precious bunny slippers (pattern found here). I'll have a pair (or two) up at my etsy shop soon, but feel free to contact me if you're interested in a custom sized order for you or your little one!

Hockey Giftset

I recently completed a custom order from a previous co-worker. I really just "pretend" to crochet since sewing is my passion, but since there is very limited craft items for hockey, (what's up with that?) I had to get creative! I mean seriously, no buttons, no fabric, no nhl licensed anything..... SO, this is what I came up with; The family she is gifting the items to are HUGE Nashville Predators fans, hence the colors. The baby is supposed to be born in March, so I made them to be a 6-12 month size so that he could enjoy them for next hockey season.

Little Quarterback....

Found this pattern for a CUTE football hat..... AND had a new little football fan to gift it to (I love when I have an excuse to craft... not that I ever need one)! I thought the hat and shoes made a PERFECT set.

Tis the Season!

Okay, okay... I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet BUT I am trying to build up stock to sell for Christmas (as well as get a head start on some Christmas gifts). Here's a little peek at what I've just finished!

Fall - Tis the Season to Sew!

It is officially fall (where does the time go?).... which basically means it is craft season! Ok, well I guess it's ALWAYS craft season, but there is something about fall that makes me want to sew. I'm not sure if it's the beautiful fall colors, the fun fall fabrics, the chill in the air that makes me want to stay inside, or all the fun fall projects that I have been waiting until now to work on.... That being said, here's some of the items I am working on: aprons, shoes, place mats, table runners, hot pads and more. I LOVE fall fabric, below are some of the goodies I've found!

Precious and Sweet Little Feet.....

Having two children of my own, I just LOVE this poem:

Two little feet, ten little toes,

Leave their impressions today.

Soon they will wear two little shoes,

And be running and jumping at play.

Two little feet, too little time,

Before they are walking to school,

Kicking a rock, or skipping a rope,

Wading a puddle or jumping a pool.

With my oldest starting school this year, I am overwhelmed at how quickly our precious babies grow-up (tear). There is no better way to get them off on the right foot than by doing it stylishly! Baby shoes are available with adjustable elastic to fit a baby 0-6 months. The soles are made of fleece lined suede providing grip and durability on the outside by plush softness on the inside.
