As a mother of 2, who also breastfed, I always notice those brave mama's who nurse in public. It seems lately that I have seen alot of drab and flimsy nursing covers and felt sympathy for the moms wrestling to use them. I was a modest public breast feeding mom and to be honest did not have that skill of whipping "it" out while hiding the evidence. Therefore, I relied on my nursing cover to be private, comfortable, breathable, useable, and most importantly fashionable..... is that too much to ask!?
THEREFORE, this giveaway is for all you nursing moms and moms-to-be.....Call it what you will; a nursing cover, jug jacket, or hooter hider, this item is a MUST have and it could be all yours!!!! The winner of this giveaway will be permitted to chose from any of the nursing covers listed in my shop OR request a custom cover valued at $18.
How to enter!? Tell me why you chose or will choose to breastfeed your precious little one... and send it to me by:

I breastfed both of my kids until they self-weaned (one at 17 months, the other at 34 months). Why did I chose to do so?! Geez - that question could be answered in 100 blog posts and still never be fully answered. There is the bonding that happens, knowing that my breastmilk was made for my baby, and knowing that breastfeeding helps make connections in little ones' brains that nothing else can duplicate. Oh, and neither of my children got so much as a cold when they nursed! No fevers, no ear infections, no runny noses - nothing. And even now, my 13 y.o. had only been sick twice and my little guy once.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to win this for my stepdaughter, who is expecting in May. She's pretty iffy on breastfeeding and I am the only person in her life who is encouraging her to try it. One of her biggest hang-ups is people staring at her while she nurses. This cover sure would help abolish that reservation!

I breastfed both of my sons, despite having no role model for it growing up. I was a formula baby myself, but as a Nutritional Consultant and Master Herbalist I can't settle for less than (clean) breastmilk! I Have another one on the way, and this would help a great deal! Thanks for offering up such a useful prize!
ReplyDeleteI am actually NOT a mom yet and probably won't be for at least a few years, but I am a social worker and work with teen moms. I LOVE the idea of breastfeeding because of the benefits both the more and the baby get. This would be a great motivation for one of my client's to give breast feeding a try. I think so many of my kids that I see would benefit from their momma's milk!

I am a mom to be (woohoo) and I chose to because it is the healthiest option for my child. As a woman, your body create what your baby needs, why deny them that. I understand that sometimes it is not possible but if you can do it why not.
ReplyDeleteThese are such beautiful items. I would love to be stylish and feed my baby. I can't WAIT for my baby to be born <3
